We are motivated by a deep desire to bring whatever skills we possess and whatever resources we can harness to help narrow the growing economic and social divides that run though the heart of our country and severely limit the potential of millions of children. We recognize that we are but one small organization in a sea of need. But by collaborating in our work and sharing what we learn, we hope to be a catalyst for action among a wide range of philanthropists, corporate and nonprofit leaders, and public policymakers. Ultimately, we hope that VPP and many other groups with similar goals can increase the effectiveness and the flow of capital, talent, and other resources to nonprofit organizations showing the greatest potential for improving the lives of children.
