VPP Founding Investors: Philanthropic Initiatives

VPP is fortunate to have a remarkable group of investors--individuals and families who have made significant contributions to the National Capital Region and beyond through their business and philanthropic endeavors. Many of them have turned their attention and resources to the philanthropic sector, where they are applying the same entrepreneurial spirit that brought them success in the for-profit arena to their innovative philanthropic efforts.

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Steve and Jean Case with a singular focus on hastening the discovery of a cure for brain cancer, will be one of two beneficiaries of Race for Hope DC. This 5K race, which will take place on May 4, 2008, is one of the largest fundraising events for brain tumor research and support services for families affected by this disease. The event is expected to attract more than 7,000 people and raise more than $1.5 million.
