The firm has made a commitment to take on one or two planning
engagements per year for VPP and to provide its services
at a substantial discount. In addition to taking on these
engagements, McKinsey has a larger advisory role with VPP.
It helps us to identify other quality management consultants
who would be appropriate matches for VPP investment partners;
helps us think through thorny management and planning-related
issues; and makes available its knowledge base on strategic
planning for a small, select group of planning firms and
consultants who could be engaged to work with VPP investment
partners. Two of the organizations that VPP and McKinsey
have recruited into the fold are Martha Blue Consulting
LLC and Raybin Associates. With the support of these organizations,
VPP continues to build this network of comprehensive planning specialists.
